Curated by The Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA), ‘Harmonious Society’ showcased over 30 exceptional Chinese contemporary artists from Mainland China, Taiwan and Hong Kong across six key city centre venues: Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art, ArtWork, The John Rylands Library, Manchester Cathedral, Museum of Science & Industry and National Football Museum.
As the largest component of Asia Triennial Manchester 2014, ‘Harmonious Society’ was the most significant exhibition in the UK to date of contemporary Chinese art, featuring new commissions and UK premieres.
