As the largest component of Asia Triennial Manchester 2014, ‘Harmonious Society’ was the most significant exhibition in the UK to date of contemporary Chinese art, featuring new commissions and UK premieres.

Art Appraisal Club follows the 5 Hong Kong artist who participated in this ATM14, exploring their work from a critics perspective.

Asia Triennial Manchester 2014 (ATM14) includes 54 artists from 12 countries across 14 venues and is a collaboration with a range of sites and partners focusing on three main clusters in IWM North at The Quays, Manchester citycentre, Bury and Rochdale.

ATM14 aims to challenge perceptions about Asia and with the recent challenging global events, makes its theme of Conflict and Compassion a timely one. This Triennial includes artists who live in, work in or address issues surrounding Asia as well as this Triennial’s artistic theme.
